Servbase app creation is a guided flow with four main steps: choose app type, connect source, configure settings, and deploy.

Step 1: Choose an app type

Current app types in the dashboard:
  • Static / HTML
  • PHP
  • Python
  • React
  • Node.js / Express.js
  • Next.js
Pick the type based on how your project is built and served, not just the language you use.

Step 2: Connect source code

Current source options:
  • GitHub
  • ZIP archive
  • Local folder

GitHub

Use GitHub when you want Servbase to clone a repository on the deployment worker. You will choose:
  • connected account or organization
  • repository
  • production branch

ZIP archive

Use ZIP upload when you want a packaged deploy artifact or do not want to connect GitHub.

Local folder

Use folder upload when you want to push local source directly.
Folder upload is for source code, not for very large file collections. The current platform limits folder uploads to a maximum file count.

Step 3: Configure settings

Current customer-facing fields in the app creation flow include:
  • app name
  • base domain
  • framework for Python apps
  • package manager for React apps
  • Next.js rendering mode for Next.js apps
Notes:
  • Free-tier base-domain selection is restricted unless your account can choose additional base domains.
  • Python runtime start and root settings are auto-managed during creation.

Step 4: Deploy

Deployment is queued and processed by the platform runtime worker. What happens next depends on app type:
  • Static / HTML validates the effective root for index.html
  • PHP deploys file payloads to the PHP runtime path
  • React installs dependencies, runs a supported build command, and validates the publish directory
  • Python installs dependencies into a virtual environment and configures the runtime for the selected framework
  • Node.js / Express.js configures a managed runtime path with a runtime start command
  • Next.js runs in SSR or static-output mode depending on the selected rendering mode
